Committees of the Council are organized to further the goals of the Strategic Plan. Membership includes both Council members and interested community members. Council members and interested community members can serve on committees. Committees usually meet prior to the full CCPC meeting, and they may also meet at other times if necessary.
Leadership and Impact
Provides information and policy strategy to the CCPC on local, state and federal public policy as it relates to early learning and care.

Workforce
Supports recruitment, retention, professional development, and higher wages for the early learning and care workforce with the goal that San Mateo County has a robust, well-trained and well-paid early learning and care professional workforce with the competencies necessary to provide high-quality experiences for children.

Quality
Focuses on supporting the ongoing implementation of Quality Counts San Mateo by considering quality in early learning and care settings holistically with the goal that every child thrives socially, emotionally, and academically because they attend quality early learning and care programs.
Chair: Liz Scully
Access
Works to increase the supply of high-quality early learning and care for children birth through age 13, identifying and recommending solutions to remove access barriers, with the goal that families of all socioeconomic levels have access to high-quality child care.
